Vale Negro

Quality Dogs

Breeding beautiful champions and wonderful companions in several breeds for more than forty years...

My name is CARLA MOLINARI and I have been involved with purebred dogs since childhood. My kennel name, DO VALE NEGRO, was recognized by the FCI in 1963 and since 1968 I have been an active member of, the Clube Português de Canicultura (CPC — the Portuguese Kennel Club) and a member of its Board of Directors. In 1985 I became President of the CPC, a position I still hold nowadays.

My passion for purebred dogs started when I was 6 years old and after nagging my father and grandfather for months I was given a wire fox terrier which lived from then on at my grandparents house where I visited periodically. However, my first real show dog was a German Shepherd when I was 12, and he went on to be a Best in Show winner.

Thus began a long lasting story which has survived to this day and presently all my life is centred on dog related activities. I am an all rounder (all breed judge) and in this capacity I have travelled the world and its 5 continents many times over in the past 20 years judging frequently at all the most important dog events including World Dog Shows and Crufts in the UK.

As an Administrator of the CPC, I am proud to have been the leader of the team which organized the European Winner Show in Cascais in 1994 and the World Dog Show in Oporto in 2001, two successful events that changed the history of our dog fancy in my country.

A Warm Welcome...
